2008-2009 Board Members

Isagenix® has attracted the best and brightest professionals in the fields of nutrition, medicine, and health and wellness to serve on our Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) and Technical Advisory Board (TAB). Collectively, they represent the leaders in their respective fields, and also the Isagenix commitment to excellence, which is to guide people safely along the path to optimal health and wellness.

Dr. Wheeler, who once briefed Presidents Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan on issues such as nutrition in school lunches and meal etiquette in Japan, oversees both the Scientific Advisory Board and the Technical Advisory Board. He is the senior author of more than 260 scientific publications on nutrition and has helped develop more than 6,200 nutritional products. Dr. Wheeler fine-tuned his expertise on nutrition and performance after years of advising Olympic and professional athletes, and teams. His past clients include the 1996 U.S. Olympic decathlon team; 2002 U.S. Olympic snowboarding team; several NFL, NBA and Major League Baseball teams; NASCAR and the Air Force Academy football team.

The Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) is a group of medical and health professionals who provide input on new and existing products, helping Isagenix® to maintain the integrity and efficacy of our no-compromise products.

Dr. Harper has been in general medical practice for 20 years and was instrumental in getting the DSHEA (Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act) implemented in 1994. Dr. Harper is a voting member of the American Osteopathic Association, President of Physicians for Progressive Medicine, Chairman for the licensing board for the state of Utah and a Fellow for the Federation of State Medical Boards. Dr. Harper is the author of “Cleansing for Life: Nature’s Best Kept Health Secret.”
Patrick Bitter Jr., M.D. (new member)

Dr. Bitter is a dermatologist certified by the American Board of Dermatology. Since 1986, he has maintained a private practice in Los Gatos, California specializing in dermatology, skin cancer surgery, and cosmetic surgery. Dr. Bitter is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the American Society of Lasers in Medicine and Surgery. He’s a member of the American, California and Santa Clara County Medical Associations and a frequent lecturer for the American Cancer Society.

Dr. Kimes has been a practicing chiropractor for 23 years and is director, owner and clinician for one of the largest all-natural health care centers in North America. His credentials include Distinguished Fellow of the International Chiropractors Association, Past Vice President of the International Chiropractors Association of California, and Diplomat of the National Board of Chiropractic Pediatrics.
Marilyn Territo

Ms. Territo is an award-winning businesswoman, Wellness Lifestyle Coach, and Clinical-Paramedical Esthetician with 30 years of experience in the fields of alternative health care and medical-esthetics as a private practitioner. She is a Certified Myotonologist (facial muscle rehabilitation specialist), CranioSacral Therapist, Aromatherapy Practitioner, and Certified DNA Practitioner. She’s served as technical consultant, trainer, and corporate spokesperson for Herald Pharmacal, Inc., Allergan, Inc., Skin Care Division, Murad Skin Research, Inc., and the DNA Health Institute, Cryogenic Division, LLC.
She was selected as a member for a U.S. delegation to help develop the skin care industry in the People's Republic of China.
Nicole Kafka
Nicole Kafka, MD, FACS, FASCRS (new member)
A colon and rectal surgeon, Dr. Kafka is a published author in her field and holds an undergraduate degree with honors from Harvard University and a medical degree from Cornell University. She currently operates a private practice in New York City where she shares Isagenix® as another health option for her patients who want to improve their health and wellness.
Paul Anderson

Dr. Anderson is the Founder and CEO of Natural Pain Relief Centers in California. His extensive research and experience has made him a leading expert in the field of natural pain relief and he has helped over 5,000 people in the U.S. and Canada find relief from their pain. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto Medical School and a Diplomat of the American Academy of Pain Management. His passion for seeing others achieve health and wellness naturally led him to develop IsaDelight®.

The Technical Advisory Board (TAB) is a group of professionals actively involved in the science and practice of Isagenix® products, providing independent scientific support and ensuring quality, efficacy and credibility of new and existing products.

Mary Balliett, B.S., D.C.
Mary Balliett, B.S., D.C.
Dr. Balliett is the Acting Dean of the School of Applied Clinical Nutrition at New York Chiropractic College. She teaches classes in biochemistry to doctor of chiropractic students and conducts nutritional research with Isagenix®. She has been a practicing chiropractor for 20 years, graduating with honors from New York Chiropractic College. Dr. Balliett also has a bachelor’s degree in Biology with a concentration in biochemistry from Cornell University.
Dr. Oscar Rasmussen, Ph.D.
Dr. Oscar Rasmussen, Ph.D.
Dr. Rasmussen is an Adjunct Professor at the master’s program in nutrition at New York Chiropractic College. He is widely known for his expertise in the fields of nutrition, biochemistry, physiology and preventive medicine. He is a Certified Nutritional Specialist, Certified Clinical Nutritionist and a Registered Nutritional Consultant (Canada). Past awards include the Philadelphia Medal, one of the city’s highest honors for humanitarianism. He’s a Past Chairman and Consultant for the Department of Nutrition at the American International Hospital’s Cancer Treatment Centers of America.
